Restoration of dolls, bears, and other items is a form of art. It is important that the item being restored retain as much originality/authenticity as possible. It should be conserved to prevent further deterioration, but you also want it to look nice! Work should be "ethical". The goal is not to try to fool anyone, or cause any further damage. This can be quite a balancing act!

Repairs:

I repair eyes, wigs, fingers, toes, bodies, teeth, bisque, porcelain, wood, composition, wax, paper mache, clothes, teddy bears, plastic etc. I do not generally work on Barbies, reborn babies or modern vinyl dolls.

Fees:

I work on many different types of dolls. Each doll is different, and therefore needs to be assessed individually. This way I can offer you my suggestions and/or recommendations, and the related costs. My fees are considered reasonable, and can range from $40 to $400+, depending on the length of time required to complete repairs. I can try to give an estimate from photos, but the best way is to actually see the piece. Composition dolls that need major repairs can be expensive.
